Youth Media Los Angeles Collaborative’s newest project is polling teens on the impacts of the state’s budget crisis on public education. Dozens of students in Southern California schools already have responded to an online survey of their attitudes and experiences in coping with the fallout of overcrowded classrooms, teacher layoffs and furlough days, missing resources and related issues.

Participants – teens, their teachers, young journalists and their advisers – are vying for cash prizes by completing the survey, available at LA Youth.
